Equipment Delivery Driver

Total Rentals, a locally owned equipment rental Company, with locations in Woodstock and Brantford, who has always prided itself on having a solid reputation for excellent customer service, and for being an outstanding place to work, is currently recruiting for an experienced Equipment Delivery Driver to join their team in Woodstock.
General Overview:
Working full time as part of a small, dedicated and loyal team, the successful applicant will provide best in class customer service and be responsible for loading and unloading trailers and transporting equipment and material to and from customer sites.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading trailers with equipment.
- Following best practices for safety while on the road and loading and unloading trucks.
- Communicating with other team members regarding deliveries and meeting delivery deadlines.
- Completing daily truck logs and submitting requested reports.
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting any problems immediately.
- Complying with company policies, best practices and any applicable legislation.
Competencies and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in loading/unloading of trailers & equipment, is required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid ‘AZ’ Class Ontario Driver’s License.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Preference will be given to candidates with sliding axle trailer experience.
- Considerable knowledge of heavy-equipment operating principles; working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to equipment operations.
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Hard-working, dedicated individual with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong work ethics, with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to drive and operate a variety of heavy equipment under varying conditions.
